What we do

Four services, one standard.

Rifle takes no pop-gun approach to termites or pests. Every job starts with identifying exactly what you're dealing with, then matching the treatment to the species, the building and the conditions around it.

Termite inspections

A full read on the building, not a quick look around

We inspect the interior, subfloor, roof void and the grounds around the property, using thermal imaging and Termatrac T3i radar to check inside walls without cutting them open. You get a digital report you can actually read.

Termite treatments

Built for subterranean termites, and for your building

Our treatments have protected thousands of Queensland homes from subterranean termite attack. The right approach depends on the species, the construction and where the colony is coming from — so we work that out first.

Domestic pest control

Your home, your family, your pets

General pest treatments are usually recommended at least annually, inside and around the home. Depending on the surrounding environment and conditions inside, your technician may suggest a shorter interval.

Commercial pest control

Programs that hold up to scrutiny

Food poisoning organisms travel on and inside cockroaches, which makes protecting a workplace a health issue as much as a nuisance one. We service commercial sites across South East Queensland.

How an inspection runs

Find it first. Then treat it.

Termites work from the inside out, which is why guessing is expensive. This is the order we work in, every time.

STEP 01

Inspect

A thorough inspection of the building and property — interior, subfloor, roof void and grounds — to locate infestations and the conditions that invite them.

STEP 02

Detect

Thermal imaging and Termatrac T3i radar read movement and moisture behind wall linings, so activity can be confirmed without opening the wall up.

STEP 03

Report

An easy-to-read digital termite inspection report: what we found, where we found it, and what we recommend you do about it.

STEP 04

Treat

A treatment matched to the species and the structure. Correct identification comes first — with ants and cockroaches especially, it decides which method actually works.

The gear

Termatrac T3i Termite Detection Radar

Reads movement, moisture and temperature through timber, plasterboard and brick — non-invasively. It's the difference between suspecting termites and confirming them.

The gear

Thermal imaging camera

Active termite nests and moisture ingress both change the heat signature of a wall. The camera shows us where to look closely before anything gets pulled apart.

Who turns up

A family business, not a call centre.

The same people who quote the job do the job. Twenty years of Queensland houses, and utes that carry the gear to prove what's actually going on in your walls.

General pests

What we treat around South East Queensland.

Correct identification drives the treatment. Two ant problems that look identical can need completely different methods.

Risk · Health

Cockroaches

Cockroaches carry disease organisms both inside their bodies and on their outer skins — salmonella-group food poisoning organisms are commonly found on them. Worth taking seriously at home and at work.

Risk · Health & property

Rodents

We inspect the building and property to find infestations and entry points, then use a combination of lockable tamper-proof bait stations, traps and physical exclusion — sometimes over more than one visit.

Risk · Safety

Spiders

Treatments may include dusting wall cavities and the roof void, plus internal and external treatment taking in play equipment, sheds and pet bedding. Every house is different.

Season · Warmer months

Wasps

Usually nesting around buildings, windows and eaves, with concealed nests in trees, hedges, or behind air conditioning and gas hot water units. Late afternoon treatment gives the most complete result.

Risk · Invasive

Ants

One of the most invasive pests in South East Queensland homes, and they can arrive any time of year. With many species and many treatment options, correct identification is the whole game.

Risk · Damage

Silverfish

Insulated roof voids, cupboards, wall cavities and cracks give silverfish ideal breeding conditions. We treat harbourage areas throughout the home rather than just where you've seen them.

Plan ahead

The South East Queensland pest calendar.

Pests here run to a schedule. Termites swarm after the first warm, humid nights; rodents move into roof voids as it cools; mosquitoes follow the wet. Pick your area and tap a month to see what's active.
